When the body holds what the mind couldn't process
Many chronic physical patterns – tension, gut issues, skin flares, jaw pain, recurring headaches, fatigue with no clear cause – carry an unresolved emotional load. The body keeps the score, in Bessel van der Kolk„s phrase. What couldn“t be processed in feeling gets stored in tissue.
This does not mean the symptoms are imagined. They are absolutely real. It means the symptom may be a downstream effect of an upstream load – and lowering that load can change the symptom.
RTT® addresses the load. Always alongside medical investigation and care, never replacing it.
How stress-linked physical symptoms actually show up
The clue is usually pattern: symptoms that flare with stress, settle on holiday, or arrive in clusters.
- Tension headaches, jaw clenching, neck and shoulder pain
- Gut issues that worsen with stress (IBS-pattern)
- Skin flares (eczema, psoriasis) tied to stress
- Chronic fatigue with no clear medical cause
- Recurring infections during high-stress periods
- A felt sense your body is holding something
Why treating only the symptom often stalls
Painkillers, antacids, topical creams, sleep aids – they treat the surface. They cannot reach the upstream load that keeps generating the surface symptom.
RTT addresses the upstream load. Your medical care still does its job at the surface.
What RTT does differently for stress-linked symptoms
RTT combines hypnotherapy, regression and direct subconscious reframing. We find the emotional load underneath, update the rules holding it, and install a regulated nervous-system pattern.
Symptoms that were downstream of the load often shift as the load shifts.
A typical RTT session for physical symptoms
Sessions run 90 to 120 minutes online. We map the symptom timeline alongside the stress timeline. We listen to what your body has been carrying.
In hypnosis we address the load, update the rules, install regulation, and record a personalised 21-day audio.
The 21-day audio for physical symptoms
Daily listening installs the regulated pattern at the wiring level. Many clients describe sleep deepening first, then symptoms easing in week three or four.
Results timeline
Week one: noticeable reduction in body tension; sleep usually improves.
Month one: symptom flares reduce in frequency and intensity.
Three to six months: many symptom patterns stabilise or resolve.
When physical symptoms need medical investigation first
Always investigate symptoms medically. Any new, severe, or changing symptom needs proper diagnostics before assuming a stress link. RTT is a complement, not a substitute.
