The short answer

Why do I self-sabotage success?

Because some part of you decided success would cost you safety, love, or belonging. RTT® finds that part, sees what it's protecting, and updates the rule — so the brakes come off.

What success blocks really is

Self-sabotage is loyal — it's protecting an old version of you from an old danger.

RTT meets the loyalty and writes a new rule.

Signs you may be struggling with success blocks

  • Procrastinating right before launch
  • Picking fights at peak moments
  • Imposter spirals
  • Shrinking after winning
  • Forgetting the plan

Why success blocks aren„t laziness

If you“re capable, ambitious, and still hitting the same invisible wall – launching and stalling, almost-but-not-quite, or sabotaging right when it„s about to work – you don“t have a discipline problem. You have a subconscious that has concluded success would cost you something more important than the success itself.

Common conclusions: „if I succeed I“ll outgrow my family', „visible people get attacked“, 'I„d have to keep performing at this level forever“, 'I„d be alone at the top“, „success means I“d have nothing left to strive for'. None of these are conscious. All of them quietly steer the ship.

RTT® finds where each conclusion was drawn, updates it, and installs permission to succeed without losing what you love. The ceiling moves.

How success blocks actually show up

Success blocks wear competent-looking disguises.

  • Endless preparation, never quite launching
  • Self-sabotage exactly when something is about to land
  • Imposter syndrome that grows the more you achieve
  • Burnout cycles disguised as commitment
  • Achievement followed by emptiness rather than satisfaction
  • Fear of standing out, being judged, or being responsible for the outcome

Why strategy alone usually stalls

Strategy, mentorship and accountability are valuable. They stall when the subconscious is actively (and invisibly) protecting you from the outcome they„re designed to produce. No system overrides a system underneath that doesn“t want the result.

RTT removes the underlying objection. Then strategy becomes powerful again.

What RTT does differently for success blocks

RTT combines hypnotherapy, regression and direct subconscious reframing. We find the original scenes where success acquired its hidden cost, update the conclusion, and install permission to thrive without paying the price your younger self feared.

We also work on identity: who you„d have to become to hold what you“re building, and whether you secretly believe that person is safe to be.

A typical RTT session for success blocks

Sessions run 90 to 120 minutes online. We map your specific ceiling – when you stall, what you do, what you secretly believe success would cost.

Then in hypnosis we visit the origin scenes, update the conclusion, install the new identity, and record a personalised 21-day audio.

The 21-day audio for success blocks

Daily listening installs the new identity at the level it needs to live. Clients often describe the shift as 'I just kept going past the point I usually stop'.

Results timeline

Week one: less stalling; the action you've been avoiding feels accessible.

Month one: things start landing – the launch, the offer, the conversation.

Three to six months: a visibly new trajectory. What used to feel out of reach has become the new baseline.

When success work needs more than RTT

If burnout has become chronic, please involve medical support too. RTT can help shift the inner drivers, but the body sometimes needs rest a session cannot replace.

What the research says about hypnotherapy and performance

  • 01Clinical hypnosis is recognised by the APA as effective for confidence, self-image and performance work.
  • 02Self-sabotage is mediated by subconscious self-image – a construct shown to be plastic and responsive to hypnotic intervention.
  • 03Identity-based change consistently outperforms behaviour-based change in long-term outcome research.
  • 04Pre-sleep audio reinforcement consolidates new identity at the level performance is driven from.
  • 05RTT was developed by Marisa Peer, whose work has been used by elite performers, executives and Olympic athletes.
